unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander
product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions
of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable
infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to
the lunar surface. You should be comfortable working in a
fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to
innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership,
technical competence, and attention to detail.This opportunity is
for a Fluids Test Engineer within the Integration and Test
Integrated Product Team (I&T IPT), working on our Zero Boil Off
program. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of
ground systems testing for developmental and flight asset testing.
You will develop test methods, ground support equipment, and test
procedures to efficiently complete integrated system testing for
multiple test campaigns. You will coordinate and direct test crews
and ground support equipment while supervising a small team of
technicians during test setups, checkouts, and
tear-downs.Travel:Position nominally has about 10% travel with
infrequent select periods up to 25% to support testing at remote
sites.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work independently to develop test plans, test procedures and
execute tests ensuring all steps and processes are followed, while
being accountable for the safety of hardware and personnel involved
in the test
- Write test procedures, manage procedural red lines, and
incorporate updates during test campaigns
- Develop cryogenic test (leak, flow, pressure) system
procedures
- Design, define, procure and install system components and
materials; manage vendors and subcontractors during
installation
- Proactively prepare status updates and communicate within the
organization and with direct customersMinimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil
engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience with a background in pressurized
equipment
- Experience with developing, writing, and executing test
procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems
- A strong safety record
- Experience leading test teams as a Test Conductor or Test
Engineer
- Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs
- Experience developing fluids systems installation and checkout
procedures
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience with a background in cryogenic testing,
pressurized equipment, and vacuum systems.
- Experience with cryogenic and GHe test capabilities, including
design, fabrication, installation, and operation.
- Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data
Acquisition and Control Systems
- Experience with high voltage, 3-phase power systems
- ASME codes and local building standards
- Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLABCompensation range for on
