Radio Altimeter Engineering Manager (Level K) Company: The

organization has an exciting opportunity for a Radio Altimeter
Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in Everett,
Washington . Position Overview: A Radio Altimeter Engineering
Manager oversees the design, development, certification, and
testing of radar-based altitude measurement systems for aircraft.
These managers are critical in ensuring safety-critical navigation
systems comply with evolving aviation standards, particularly in
the context of 5G C-Band interference, and they often lead teams in
RF systems, FPGA design, and software integration. 5G Mitigation: A
major focus is upgrading legacy analog altimeters to digital,
high-performance units (e.g., LRA-2100) that can withstand 5G
interference, ensuring safety during landing. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Directing the development of radio altimeter
systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and hardware/software
integration for altimeters. Certification & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA standards, including managing
technical requirements for 5G-resistant, interference-tolerant
radio altimeter systems. Project Management: Defining system
architecture, conducting design reviews (PDR/CDR), and overseeing
testing, including flight line and benchtop simulation. Team
Management: Leading cross-functional teams, fostering engineering
excellence, and liaising with stakeholders, customers, and
certification agencies. Work Authorization: This position is
expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required
to work onsite at Everett, WA. Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with
a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer
Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 7 years of
engineering experience in the aerospace or similar industry 5 years
of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership
role 5 years in Systems Engineering or Design Engineering (e.g.
Systems, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion, Safety)
Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles (e.g.
requirements, development assurance, and/or functional integration)
Ability to effectively navigate and lead a team through dynamic and
ambiguous environments Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Master’s
or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or
a related field is preferred. 10 years of experience in RF/radio
system development, with demonstrated experience in leading
engineering teams. Knowledge of FMCW modulation, antenna design,
FPGA development (DO-254), and digital signal processing. Deep
understanding of aviation safety protocols and environmental
testing (e.g., RTCA DO-160). Conflict of Interest: Successful

Summary Pay Range: $151,000 - 205,000 Language Requirements: Not
