deliver autonomous vehicles to the service branches and military
commanders in the field. Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables
ground vehicles to navigate and operate off-road in any terrain
without GPS or direct operator control. Overland AI has secured
funding from prominent defense tech investors, including 8VC and
Point 72, and built trusted partnerships with DARPA, the U.S. Army,
Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command. Backed by
eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are
strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users
engaged in tactical operations. Role Summary: We are looking for an
experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead our new cleared
security program at our facility in the South Seattle area. This
position will report to a senior leader within the organization.
Under limited supervision, the FSO is responsible for administering
the U.S. Government National Industrial Security Program (NISP),
overseeing all procedures for classified and/or proprietary
materials, documents, and equipment. The FSO will initiate and plan
projects, developing schedules to meet project goals. The FSO will
exercise judgment within generally defined precedents and policies
to analyze issues, develop solutions, and provide leadership and
guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors on
actions to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer and coordinate all aspects
of security activities in accordance with company policies and
procedures, ensuring compliance with federal security regulations,
directives, and manuals for safeguarding National Security
Information. Establish and manage liaison with government agencies,
external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings,
interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with
regulations. Plan, develop, and manage specialized security
programs and procedures for both classified and Controlled
Unclassified Information (CUI) documents and equipment. Develop,
review, and implement DOD classified procedures. Serve as the focal
point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all
classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) and
hardware entering or leaving the facility, including electronic
data transfers. Develop, implement, and manage Standard Practices
and Procedures (SPP) security plans. Track, generate, and flow down
all prime and subcontract Contract Security Classification
Specification (DD254) documents for prime and subcontracts.
Investigate and review all security violations, preparing reports
and recommending specific preventive and corrective actions.
Implement visitor control procedures ensuring compliance with DOD
regulations and directives. Maintain controlled area access, alarm,
and combination records, as well as security container access and
combination records. Respond to alarms as necessary. Serve as the
company's Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO),
responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Insider
Threat Program. This includes conducting annual training, managing
reporting, and leading the insider threat working group.
Collaborate with external customers, accrediting officials,
facilities management, and corporate stakeholders through the Vault
Type Area accreditation process for new facility construction. Act
as security spokesperson to brief/debrief personnel. Maintain
strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for
observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations
wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the
company. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree and six (6) or more
years of professional classified security experience in a corporate
or government environment. May substitute equivalent experience in
lieu of education. Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance Must have
extensive experience with Department of Defense (DOD) security
processes and procedures. Desired Experience FSO experience in a
corporate or government environment is preferred. Experience
working with TEMPEST Compliance and ICD 705 Must have a
comprehensive understanding of the National Industrial Security
Program Operating Manual (NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117) and thorough
knowledge of established policies, procedures, and practices for
safeguarding National Security Information. Must possess the
ability to identify issues and develop solutions to complex
problems of diverse scope. Strong communication, analytical,
computer, and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to
work independently and on a team and represent the company as the
prime contact on external projects. Demonstrated ability to manage
internal and external record management systems (e.g., DISS/NBIS,
NCCS, NISS, ACCS, SIMS). Able to work extended hours as required.
Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities
training through the Center for Development of Security Excellence
(CDSE) is required. Access control database experience preferred.
