Job Description:
The registered nurse independently delivers routine and complex
care in a Neuro/Surgical ICU, focusing primarily on neuro patients
with diverse conditions such as strokes, head trauma, and aneurysm
repairs, as well as surgical and medical ICU patients.
Provides patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and
evaluation following ANA standards, addressing emotional, social,
and cultural needs of patients and families.
Administers medications, monitors treatment effects, and documents
patient information accurately.
Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs and
resource requirements.
Requires at least 1 year of related nursing experience, BLS
certification, RN license, and ACLS within 6 months. Specific unit
certifications like NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, ENPC, or PALS are necessary
within designated timelines.
Works in a team-oriented, family-like environment, contributing to
long-term patient care goals.
