You have hands-on experience with multiple programming languages and paradigms. You are willing to tackle problems outside your comfort zone. You enjoy driving features from inception to delivery. You like to engage with other developers. Your Responsibilities include participating in the design, implementation and evolution of a high-level programming language. Leading development of parts of the language ecosystem depending on personal skills and interests. Supporting and evangelizing our language and ecosystem within and outside of Apple.Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in Java
• Deep foundation of computer science fundamentals
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in multiple programming languages from different paradigms
  • Designing and implementing programming languages
  • Designing and implementing software libraries
  • Developing IDE plugins and other developer tools
  • Writing technical documentation
  • Giving technical presentations
  • Experience maintaining high visibility open-source projectsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
