Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager
to lead a team driving Amazon's business process automation — from
checkout to fulfillment; building unified framework that drives
both deterministic and agentic business workflows, while upholding
Amazon's rigorous operational standards. In this role, you will
have the unique opportunity to work on exciting greenfield projects
that push the boundaries of Deterministic Automation with
Artificial Intelligence. Your technical expertise in process
automation combined with strong people management skills will be
essential as you collaborate with stakeholders to define product
requirements while developing top talent. This position offers an

You will be responsible for establishing the team's vision,

responsibilities - Build and lead a software development team
focused on Business process automation, including hiring internal
and external talent, defining team structure, and establishing team
culture and mechanisms - Define the technical vision and
architecture for greenfield projects, balancing innovation with
practical implementation while ensuring alignment with broader
organizational goals - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
to identify requirements, establish success metrics, and deliver
solutions that demonstrate measurable business impact - Create
mechanisms to evaluate automation performance, and implementing
frameworks for continuous improvement - Foster an inclusive team
environment that promotes collaboration, technical excellence, and
professional growth while mentoring engineers across multiple
levels A day in the life Your day begins with a stand-up meeting to
align priorities across your emerging team. You'll spend time
meeting with potential candidates for key roles, evaluating their
technical skills and cultural fit. Throughout the day, you'll
collaborate with stakeholders to refine product requirements for
your Automation project, facilitating technical discussions that
balance innovation with practical implementation. You'll also
dedicate time to developing architectural plans and establishing
the technical foundation that will guide your team's work as it
scales. - 3 years of engineering team management experience - 7
years of engineering experience - 7 years of leading the definition
and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge
of engineering practices and patterns for the full
software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding
standards, code reviews, source control management, build
processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations -
Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced,
multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous
environment - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching
and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills,
and make them more effective, product software engineers Amazon is

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
