Job Description Experience required: 2 years pre-op/PACU; will also consider CVICU Accept a first-time traveler? No Required License/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, & NIHSS (NIHSS can be done on assignment if needed) Skills required: pre-post cardiac experience, IV skills, pacemakers, interpreting cardiac rhythms (preferred: sheath pull, groin site management, central line access, conscious sedation) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: no pediatric patients, mostly outpatient cardiac patients • Cardiac: Post-cath (femoral or radial approach with TR bands), cardioversions, pacemakers, TEE • Vascular: Lower extremity arteriograms • IR: Biopsies, ports, etc. • Phase 1 recovery as well, but it is a “soft” phase 1 recovery. Intubated patients will go to the ICU. • Thoras and paras are done at bedside in this department, but ok if traveler is not proficient with that Weekend rotation: none, closed weekends On call? Yes - 1 day per week, EOS up to midnight, but staying until midnight is rare. Can leave once the patients are discharged and no more cases; no overnight call as the unit is closed overnight Shift times: Monday – Friday 0600 to 0800 start depending on if working 10s or 12s
