Now Hiring: Cost Accountant | Bellevue (Hybrid) Salary Range: $73,000-$90,000 Are you a detail-driven Cost Accountant with a passion for operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and collaborative problem-solving? As a Cost Accountant , you will be a key player in maintaining accurate cost structures, driving actionable insights, and collaborating cross-functionally across operations, supply chain, and finance. You will work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to manage and improve cost accounting processes, providing critical support for operational and financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation, maintaining data integrity within D365. Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying and explaining differences between actual and standard/target costs. Support the month-end close process through preparation and distribution of detailed cost reports. Develop and maintain target costs across product lines; monitor actual costs to identify deviations and support margin improvement initiatives. Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. Provide detailed justifications and reporting on product cost changes and cost drivers. Train cross-functional teams on cost-related tools and processes within D365. Map and validate cost structures to ensure alignment with both operational and financial workflows. Establish, document, and maintain internal cost accounting policies and procedures. Complete other cost-related responsibilities as assigned. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus). A minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience , ideally within a manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment. Proven experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365) or a comparable ERP platform. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP); experience with data visualization tools is a plus. Skilled in building clear, professional PowerPoint presentations. Ability to communicate complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to work a flexible schedule during month-end or special assignments when needed.
